Meram Municipality is renewing not only buildings but also the quality of life through its major urban transformation project in the Sahibata Neighborhood.
Once known for its derelict buildings and neglected streets, the area has now taken on an entirely new appearance with its modern architecture, design respectful of its historical texture, and lush green surroundings.
The final phase of this major transformation is the new park introduced by Meram Municipality.
The park, designed with Meram Municipality’s environmentally, historically, and socially conscious approach, features seating areas, aesthetic lighting, and carefully landscaped green spaces. Modern lighting systems were installed to ensure the park can be safely enjoyed both day and night, while landscaping work was carried out to create an environment that respects the historical character of the area.
Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş, commenting on the new park in the area, emphasized that the transformation in Şükran Neighborhood goes beyond just buildings, stating: “We view this project not merely as a physical renewal, but as a social rebirth. The derelict structures have been replaced by spaces full of hope, lively streets, and a city that breathes. This park has become one of the symbols of that transformation. May this area, where our residents can spend their time in peace, bring benefit to Meram and our citizens.”
