Old Ramadan Traditions Revived in Karatay

The "Another Ramadan" events, organized by Karatay Municipality specifically for the month of Ramadan, are being held with great interest from the people of Konya. Expressing that Ramadan is truly being celebrated in Karatay, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca said, "We are keeping our old Ramadan traditions alive."

The events specially prepared by the Directorate of Youth and Sports Services for the month of Ramadan are continuing at full speed. The "Another Ramadan" events, held at the Karatay Ali Ulvi Kurucu Youth Center, have attracted significant interest from children and their families.

Children, who filled the hall where the events were held with their families, had a great time with plays featuring some of Ramadan's symbols, such as Hacivat Karagöz, Keloğlan, and Nasrettin Hodja.

Hasan Kılca, expressing that they are hosting beautiful events that befit the spiritual atmosphere of the Ramadan month, stated that they are fully experiencing the joy and excitement of Ramadan together with all the people of Karatay.

Mayor Kılca stated, "We are making efforts to ensure that the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan is felt throughout our district. Our fellow citizens are showing great interest in our Ramadan events at the Ali Ulvi Kurucu Youth Center, which will continue until March 22. As part of the 'Another Ramadan' event organized by the Directorate of Youth and Sports Services, our citizens are enjoying delightful Ramadan evenings with the beloved characters of traditional Turkish theater, such as Hacivat Karagöz, Keloğlan, and Nasrettin Hodja. With each new program, the crowd grows, and this has become the most popular spot for Ramadan evenings. I would like to thank all our guests for their participation."

Citizens who participated in the Ramadan events organized by Karatay Municipality also thanked Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca for the program.
