Over 26,000 Students Join Istanbul Tour from Konya

This year, more than 26,000 students took part in the one-day historical tours to Istanbul via high-speed train, organized by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality.

Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay, emphasized that the Metropolitan Municipality places great importance on raising students in Konya with a strong sense of national consciousness and moral values.

In the early morning, students boarded the High-Speed Train from Konya accompanied by guides, and during the journey, they were presented with theatrical performances featuring reenactments of historical figures.

In Istanbul, the students visited significant historical sites such as the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, the Blue Mosque and its square, Gülhane Park, and the Eyüp Sultan Mosque, among other heritage landmarks. They also enjoyed a Bosphorus tour, witnessing the beauty of Istanbul.
