Selcuk University ranked 157th globally in the "Interdisciplinary Science Ranking" (ISR) by Times Higher Education (THE). It also ranked 5th among state universities in Turkey.
A project conducted in collaboration between Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world's most prestigious university ranking organizations, and Schmidt Science Fellows, ranks the best universities globally for interdisciplinary scientific research.
The ISR, developed to measure universities' contributions to interdisciplinary science and their commitment to this field, is known as the first evaluation system of its kind. The ISR analyzes universities across three key areas that represent different stages in the life cycle of research projects.
As part of the evaluation, 749 universities from 92 countries were assessed based on 11 performance indicators across three key areas (inputs, processes, outputs). In this context, universities' funding sources, success criteria, infrastructure, administrative support and promotion, publications, research quality, and reputation were analyzed.
According to the evaluation, Selçuk University is one of the 10 universities in Turkey that ranked in the top 200 globally. Selçuk University, ranked 157th globally, achieved an important success by placing 5th among state universities in Turkey. With this result, the university once again demonstrated its strong performance in the field of interdisciplinary science.
