Selçuk University Veterinary Faculty Earns EAEVE Reaccreditation

Selçuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has successfully met the requirements set by the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and has been granted reaccreditation. As part of this process, six classrooms and the anatomy laboratory have been renovated.

EAEVE reviews the education programs and standards of veterinary faculties across Europe, taking into account the criteria set by the European Union.

Through commissions formed upon the request of faculties, the organization conducts visits and prepares reports on the infrastructure, equipment, and educational standards of veterinary faculties. It issues binding decisions for European Union member countries and advisory decisions for institutions outside the EU.

Rector of Selçuk University, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Yılmaz, stated that bringing the quality of education and training to international standards is one of their main priorities. Yılmaz said, “The reaccreditation of our Faculty of Veterinary Medicine by EAEVE is a concrete reflection of this vision. Our faculty has achieved a distinguished position not only in Türkiye but also across Europe in the field of veterinary education. With our renovated classrooms and laboratories, I believe our students will receive world-class education and become strong professionals in their fields. I sincerely thank all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to this achievement.”
