The world's most prestigious congress begins in Konya

The opening ceremony of the 'International Adhesive Dentistry Congress,' which is the world's most prestigious congress in collaboration with Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, the Turkish Restorative Dentistry Association, and the Japanese Adhesive Dentistry Association, has been held.


During the 7th edition of the congress, hosted by Selçuk University, expert faculty members from Turkey, Japan, the United States, Belgium, and Switzerland will discuss the latest developments in the field from June 1st to June 3rd, 2023.



The Honorary Chairman of the Congress, Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, who is also the Rector of Selçuk University, stated in his opening speech that the congress holds a prestigious position in terms of sharing ideas, the latest techniques, and new concepts in the field of adhesive dentistry on an international level.


Prof. Dr. Aksoy expressed his satisfaction with hosting such an important congress and emphasized that Selçuk University holds the position of being the oldest and most pioneering university in the region.


Prof. Dr. Sema Belli, the Congress President and a faculty member in the Department of Endodontics at Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, shared that Selçuk University has also made a name for itself in the field of adhesive dentistry worldwide. She mentioned that they have had ongoing collaborations with five Japanese companies for approximately 20 years and added that these companies have made significant contributions to the organization of the congress.


Dr. Toru Nikaido, the President of the Japanese Adhesive Dentistry Association, expressed his wish for a successful and enjoyable congress, emphasizing that they gathered together for an important program.


Honorary Guest Dr. Junji Tagami explained that International Adhesive Dentistry Congresses have made significant contributions to the development of the field.


The Congress, with approximately 600 participants, will feature 150 presentations. In addition, a science and art-themed painting exhibition has been organized as part of the congress, which will be available for art enthusiasts to enjoy.
