Another Delicious Konya-Style Dish

Konya-style Ekmek Salması (a type of bread meat dish with bread) is one of the most famous regional dishes in Konya. Made with lamb or beef, this dish is a delightful taste that the local people enjoy for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.


It is made with lamb or beef that is sauteed in a pan until browned. Then, butter is added and the meat is cooked for a few more minutes. The bread is cut into thick slices and placed on top of the meat. The meat and bread are cooked together for a few more minutes, and then the dish is served.


Bread dip is typically made with tandoor bread, which is a type of flatbread that is cooked in a clay oven. Tandoor bread is ideal for bread dip because it absorbs less oil. However, you can also use pide bread if you don't have tandoor bread.


Ingredients


  • 500 grams of lamb or beef, cut into cubes
  • 1 piece of tandoor bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt 



Recipe


  • Put the meat cubes in a pressure pot.                                                                                     
  • Roast the meat a little and cook.
  • After the meat is cooked, add butter and stir.
  • Add salt and sliced pieces of bread, stir a little and take it off the stove.
  • Let the dish rest.
  • Put the dish on a plate and serve hot.
