Delicious Tandoor Soup from Konya

Tandoor Soup is a nutritious dish made with grains, legumes, and meat. One of Konya's most well-known soups, it derives its name from the traditional method of cooking in a tandoor.

Tandoor Soup is a traditional Turkish dish traditionally cooked in a tandoor, a clay oven. However, it is now more commonly prepared on the stove or in a conventional oven.

  • Next, add the soaked lentils, chickpeas, and beans to the pot, followed by the broth.
  • Add the chopped peppers and cover the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer.
  • Let the soup cook for about an hour, or until the beans and chickpeas are soft. Season with salt and cook for an additional ten minutes before removing from heat.
  • Allow the soup to rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
