Participants are taught about Konya dishes in the cooking workshops held at the Meram City and Life Culture Museum “Museum Meram”, which sheds light on the history and culture of Konya and Meram.
Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş, in his written statement on the subject, stated that “the best examples of Konya Cuisine were experienced in the events attended by taste and food enthusiasts. Participants learn the details and tips on how to make traditional dishes, desserts, pastries and other delicacies from experts. We established Museum Meram, located on Dutlu Street, with an important mission to carry the district’s ancient culture, historical treasures, deep and fine arts, and high values to the present and transfer them to the future.”
Kavuş also stated that “Cuisine is an important part of culture and social life. Keeping the kitchen alive also means keeping the culture alive. For this reason, taste lovers learn by experiencing the rich Konya cuisine in the cooking workshops we have started. Like our other events, this event, which enriched their culinary culture and enriched their social lives, was highly appreciated by our fellow citizens. Museum Meram will continue its services with events that remind us of our identity and enrich our lives.”
