Konya GastroFest Welcomes Food Lovers

Konya Metropolitan Municipality’s Gastronomy Festival, held for the third time this year to promote Konya’s culinary culture, is welcoming tens of thousands of food enthusiasts at Kalehan Ecdad Garden.

Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that the Gastronomy Festival has made a significant contribution to promoting the city’s culinary culture.

Greeting visitors at the festival, Mayor Altay emphasized that the Gastronomy Festival is the most important stop on Konya’s culinary journey, saying, “Konya is one of the rare settlements that has sustained urban life for 10,000 years. As the descendants of this civilization, we strive to keep alive the culinary journey that began with Çatalhöyük and carry it forward to the future. Since its opening, our 3rd Gastronomy Festival has attracted great interest. The satisfaction of citizens coming from Konya and other provinces makes us even happier. I would like to thank our chefs, tradespeople, and all fellow citizens who contributed. I invite all food enthusiasts to join our 3rd Gastronomy Festival at Kalehan Ecdad Garden, which will continue until the evening of Sunday, September 7.”

Visitors from both within and outside the city expressed that they greatly enjoyed the 3rd Gastronomy Festival and thanked Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay and everyone involved.
