EU Ambassadors Visit Mayor Altay

The President of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Turkey, Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, together with ambassadors from EU countries, visited the President of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay.

Ambassador Meyer expressed his pleasure at being in Konya and thanked Mayor Altay for his hospitality.

Meyer, mentioning that he had visited Konya before, highlighted that this time he came with the ambassadors of the European Union member countries. He stated, "Last night, we had a truly unique experience. We attended the Şeb-i Arus ceremonies. It was really beautiful, and I would like to thank the mayor for that. I also want to express my gratitude for the collaborative efforts we have undertaken together. We are working together in the field of environmental conservation and the preservation of cultural heritage. Being in front of this beautiful building brings me happiness."

The ambassadors of EU countries also toured the Konya Digital Promotion Center established in the Stone Building and received information from Mayor Altay about the center.
