Konya Celebrates Victory Day with Enthusiasm

The 102nd anniversary of Victory Day on August 30 was celebrated with ceremonies in Konya.


The ceremony at the Atatürk Monument began with the laying of wreaths, followed by a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.


The celebrations continued after the ceremony with the reception of congratulations at the Konya Governor's Office and a celebratory program held on Feritpaşa Street.


Governor Vahdettin Özkan and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay greeted citizens and students, extending their holiday wishes. Following the greeting, a speech was made to highlight the significance of the day. The program continued with students reciting poems, folk dances, and various performances, and concluded with a formal parade.


The events were attended by Konya Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, military and civil officials, political party leaders, veterans, relatives of martyrs, and citizens.
