600 bikes from Konya to Closed area of Maraş
Describing the responsibility they will assume in the reconstruction of the region, Altay uttered that ‘We participated in the Cyprus trip of our President, we conveyed the greetings of the Turkish world and our citizens of Konya to the Cypriots. Of course, the bond between Cyprus and Konya goes back a long way. We also carry out various works to strengthen this bond. Konya Metropolitan Municipality established a 'town twinning' relationship with Gazimağusa Municipality. In this context, we sent and installed 600 bicycles to them to be used in closed area of Maraş. We have also included a cleaning vehicle, a garbage collection vehicle and a sprinkler in the inventory of Gazimağusa Municipality as a gift from the Konya Metropolitan Municipality.’
Emphasizing that they are carrying out works for the reconstruction of the region with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and Public Housing Administration, Altay stated that ‘We carried out the preparation of the asphalt, landscaping and the arrangements on the beach together. We have always been with Cyprus until today, and we will continue to do so from now on.’
