Mayor Altay Attended the Antalya Diplomacy Forum

The President of UCLG and the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay, attended the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum held this year.

The President of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) World Organization and the Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Uğur İbrahim Altay, participated in the panel titled 'Local Approaches for Global Issues' organized by UCLG and Konya Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum held this year.

The 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the NEST Congress and Exhibition Center, hosts 19 heads of state, 73 ministers, 57 international representatives, and delegates from 147 countries.

At the panel moderated by the Secretary-General of UCLG, Emilia Saiz, President Altay mentioned that the forum has become one of Turkey's brand values. He expressed his satisfaction at participating in the forum, stating that it is very important and valuable for diplomacy to become more local. Altay also noted that this year, for the first time, Konya Metropolitan Municipality and UCLG were included in the program with a panel related to local governments.
