"The Transformation of the Century” in Istanbul Has Begun

Support of 1.5 million Turkish liras will be given to each apartment for the transformation of Istanbul.

Minister Mehmet Özhaseki: “NOW IT'S TIME TO ISTANBUL AGAIN”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the roadmap for Istanbul's urban transformation at the “'Transformation of the Century Istanbul” program. Under the “Half of it is on us” campaign, TL 1.5 million will be provided for each home that enters urban transformation in Istanbul. Of this, TL 700,000 will be provided as a grant, TL 100,000 as a relocation allowance, and TL 700,000 as a loan. The loan will be interest-free for the first year and have a term of 10 years.

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki said, "We say “Now It's Time to Istanbul Again”. We will build nearly 1 million new, solid, earthquake-resistant homes and businesses where the well-being of our citizens increases and they are happy to live in. Today, we signed our first contracts with more than 500 of our citizens in 100 buildings that have reached 100% agreement in our “Half of it is on us” campaign."
