Uğur İbrahim Altay Re-elected President at the 7th Ordinary General Assembly of TDBB

The 7th Ordinary General Assembly of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB), chaired by Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, was held.

At the 7th Ordinary General Assembly of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities, TDBB President and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay was re-elected as president.

In the opening of the program, held at the Zeytinburnu Culture and Art Center in Istanbul with the participation of numerous union members from both domestic and abroad, TDBB President and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that they had come together as representatives of a shared history, a common culture, and an ancient cultural geography.

President Altay, who thanked the union members, said, "This union is the cornerstone of our cultural geography and the guarantor of our future. Our meeting under this roof with mayors from all corners of the Turkish world clearly shows that we are aware of the great responsibility history has entrusted to us."

Following President Altay's speech, a video message sent by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Numan Kurtulmuş, was played. Kurtulmuş, wishing the General Assembly success, expressed that President Altay has made significant contributions and emphasized that he firmly believes even stronger and more successful work will be carried out in the coming period.
