Mayor Altay reminded that they are working to turn Konya into a hub for film, documentary, and series production, stating, “The 6th Sufi Cinema Festival contributes to the cultural and spiritual heritage of our city. I sincerely thank all our team members who contributed to the organization of the festival, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for their support, the Directorate General of Cinema, TRT, all the artists, and art enthusiasts.”

As part of the 6th Sufi Cinema Festival, which aims to convey the universal messages of Sufism to humanity through cinema and to bring a sense of spiritual depth to the art form, numerous producers, directors, and actors from both Turkey and abroad gathered in the spiritual atmosphere of Konya.

A FESTIVAL FULL OF EVENTS

The 6th Sufi Cinema Festival offered a rich program including Sufi-themed films, documentaries, talks, panels, workshops, and various activities. The festival brought together art lovers at the Metropolitan Municipality Taş Bina Culture and Art Center, Mevlana Cultural Center, Depo No: 4, and Kültürpark.

As part of the Teşrif-i Mevlana events, the festival featured screenings under the theme "Public Films," including Ayla and Pocket Hercules: Naim Süleymanoğlu, as well as a selection of children's films such as Tay, Rafadan Tayfa: Göbeklitepe, and Nasreddin Hodja Time Traveler: Ancient Civilizations. These films were offered to the public free of charge at Kültürpark and shopping mall cinemas.
