Konya Mevlana Museum Takes the Spotlight as Most Visited Site in Turkey's Cultural and Historical Treasures

The Konya Mevlana Museum, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is a historical site, became the most visited museum in the first 7 months of 2023 with a total of 1,664,437 visitors.

 

The sale of Müzekart, which is valid in more than 300 museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as the museums under the National Palaces Presidency affiliated with the Presidency, has exceeded 2 million in 7 months.

 

The sale of Müzekart, which provides unlimited access for one year to museums and archaeological sites and is free for various professions and age groups in Turkey, reached 2,151,988 in the first 7 months of this year.

 

In 2022, Müzekart, which provides unlimited access to museums and archaeological sites for all citizens for one year and is free for various professions and age groups in Turkey, broke records once again. It reached a sales figure of 2,930,653, showing a 63% increase compared to the previous year.

 

The Konya Mevlana Museum, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and is a historical site, became the most visited museum in the first 7 months of 2023 with a total of 1,664,437 visitors.

 

The Izmir Ephesus Archaeological Site ranked second with 1,151,511 visitors, while the Denizli Hierapolis (Pamukkale) Archaeological Site took third place with 1,149,843 visitors.

 

During the 7-month period, the most visited museums and archaeological sites were respectively the Istanbul Galata Tower with 749,950 visitors and the Nevşehir Göreme Archaeological Site with 528,030 visitors.
