Rumi's Arrival in Konya Commemorated with Spectacular Air Show

The 796th anniversary of Rumi and his family's arrival in Konya is being celebrated with various events.

The Konya Metropolitan Municipality has kicked off the “Teşrif-i Mevlana” events with an enthusiastic program to commemorate the 796th anniversary of the arrival of  Mevlana and his family in Konya.

At the Mevlana Square, a symbolic welcoming ceremony was held as part of the program attended by thousands from Konya. The display flights by the Turkish Air Force's pride, the Turkish Stars and Solo Türk, took the audience's breath away.
