Sema Performs in London and Bradford

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Turkish Sufi Music and Sema Ensemble performed sema ceremonies at three different locations in the United Kingdom upon the invitation of the Yunus Emre Institute.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Turkish Sufi Music and Sema Ensemble held their first sema ceremony in the United Kingdom at the Bradford Live concert hall, as part of the Bradford Literature Festival, with the participation of thousands of art enthusiasts.

The sema ceremony performed in Bradford, the 2025 UK City of Culture, became one of the most watched events of the festival.

The second performance was held outdoors as part of the West London Turkish Festival. The sema ceremony at the festival in West London was also received with great appreciation.

The final stop in the UK for the 23-member Konya Metropolitan Municipality Turkish Sufi Music and Sema Ensemble was the Royal College of Music in London. The performance there attracted great interest from both the British audience and Turkish expatriates living in the UK.
