Thousands Flock to Mevlana Commemoration Ceremonies

Various events are being organized for the tens of thousands of tourists who come to Konya as part of the 751st International Commemoration Ceremonies for the passing of Rumi.

Answering Hazrat Mevlana's call to "come," Mevlana enthusiasts are flocking to Konya for events held between December 7-17, finding peace in the city's spiritual atmosphere.

As part of the ceremonies hosted by the International Mevlana Culture Center of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, "Tomb Front Gatherings" are held daily at Mevlana Square.

Throughout the week, until December 17, Konya Metropolitan Municipality is presenting the exhibitions "Music in Konya, the Capital of the Mevlana Era" and "Wisdom Reflected in Illustrations from the Masnavi" to art enthusiasts. Additionally, the "Mevlevi Evrad-ı Sharif" is being performed during the morning prayers at Sultan Selim Mosque.
