European Victory from the Golden Girl: Women with Medals

Konya Metropolitan Belediyespor judoka Havva Sena Tokmak became the champion at the Cadets European Cup in Portugal. Havva Sena, who started the tournament as one of the seeded and favourite athletes, defeated her Spanish opponent with a full point in her first match and advanced to the semi-final. The successful athlete, who also managed to defeat her French opponent in the semi-final match, secured her place in the final. In the final match, Havva Sena Tokmak faced her Brazilian opponent, one of the other favourites of the tournament, and achieved victory with her superior performance, winning the European Cup championship.

KONYA’S YOUNG JUDOKAS IMPRESSED

Konya Metropolitan Belediyespor continues to be the pride of our city and our country in national and international organizations it participates in across different branches. At the Spor Toto Minikler Turkish Judo Championship, held in Karaman with the participation of 1,300 athletes from 64 cities, the young judokas of Konya Metropolitan Belediyespor managed to reach the podium by leaving their tough opponents behind. Emilya Küçükkaraca, who competed in the women’s 32-kilogram category at the championship, won the silver medal with her successful performance. The successful athletes, who attracted attention with the rankings they achieved, earned the right to represent Türkiye and Konya at the Minikler Balkan Judo Championship to be held in North Macedonia between June 5-7, 2026.

SHE BECAME CHAMPION AMONG 700 ATHLETES

Asya Kaya, one of Meram Belediyespor’s archers, became the Turkish Champion at the Traditional Turkish Archery International Team Selection Competition held in Bursa. In the organization, which took place with the participation of approximately 700 athletes from all around Türkiye, two athletes from Meram Belediyespor also entered the top 8 and earned the right to participate in the international team camp. Leaving her opponents behind with her outstanding performance, Asya Kaya climbed to the top of the podium as the Turkish Champion and made Meram feel great pride.

MERAM DIFFERENCE IN THE WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIP

Meram Belediyespor Wushu team virtually rained medals at the 2026 Wushu Kung Fu School Sports Turkish Championship held in Sakarya between May 06-10. In the organization attended by successful athletes from all around Türkiye, the wushu athletes from Meram won a total of 22 medals in both the Sanda and Taolu branches. The athletes competing in the Sanda category at the championship achieved significant rankings. Accordingly; Defne Temur – Turkish Champion, Zeynep Suennur Sergül – Turkish Champion, Hayrünnisa Çakar – Turkish Runner-up, Rümeysa Arıkoğlu – Turkish Runner-up, Oğuzhan Koç – Turkish Third Place, Sümeyye Taş – Turkish Third Place, Lara Efnan Doğan – Turkish Third Place, Zümra Kıymat – Turkish Third Place, Akif Eren Ergül – Turkish Third Place.
