Historic Success in Judo

The Spor Toto Men's Judo Super League matches were held under the hosting of the Turkish Judo Federation.

A total of 113 male athletes from 14 clubs participated in the event, which was held in four groups at the Judo Federation Facilities in Ankara.

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor’s judo team, composed entirely of young athletes trained through their own youth system and competing in Group B, stepped onto the mat with the seniors for the first time in the tournament.

A FIRST IN CLUB HISTORY

The athletes from the Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor team became one of the most notable teams in the tournament with their impressive performance. Finishing the league in third place, the yellow-black team achieved a major success and marked a first in the club’s history. With this achievement, the Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor Judo Team secured the club’s first-ever Men’s Super League Cup.

The athletes drew attention with both their individual performances and team discipline, while the matches also attracted great interest from the spectators.

SIGNIFICANT SUCCESS IN WOMEN’S CATEGORY

Competing in the Senior Women’s Super League matches held in Ankara, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor finished the league in 2nd place, achieving an important success in this category as well.

Comprising athletes from the Youth and U21 teams, the Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor team succeeded in reaching the finals among 16 Super League teams.

With this achievement, the yellow-black team earned the right to represent both their city and country at the European Clubs Championship to be held in 2026.

Meanwhile, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor made history as the only club to achieve multiple top finishes, securing 3rd place in the Spor Toto U21 Mixed League, 2nd place in the Spor Toto Women’s Super League, and 3rd place in the Spor Toto Men’s Super League.
