International Victory for Konya

Athletes from Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, representing Turkey with the National Track Cycling Team in the Czech Republic, delivered commendable performances and achieved notable success on the international stage.

Among the most prestigious competitions in Europe, the Czech Republic Track Cycling Races were held with the participation of 70 athletes from 15 countries. Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, which has made significant progress in cycling in recent years, returned from the event with strong results once again.

In the point-classified races held as part of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) calendar, Mustafa Tarakcı and Ramazan Yılmaz from Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor competed in three different categories and achieved significant success, winning a total of two silver and one bronze medal.

Competing in the Grand Prix Zemako 500+1 Lap UCI Scratch Race, Ramazan Yılmaz secured second place and won the silver medal. He also claimed the bronze medal by finishing third in the GP Brno Scratch Track Cycling Race, held in the U23 category.

Mustafa Tarakcı took part in the GP Austria 2025 Men Elite Scratch Track Cycling Race and secured second place in the challenging competition, earning a silver medal.

In one of the most highly attended track cycling events in Europe, the podium finishes by athletes from Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor contributed valuable points, helping to elevate Turkey’s position in the world rankings.
