Karatay Advances as Sports Hub

Konya Governor Ibrahim Akın, Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca, Konya Provincial Police Chief Maksut Yüksek, and Konya Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Birdal Öztürk visited the Sports Complex and the Trap-Skeet Shooting Range in Saraçoğlu Neighborhood for inspections.

Karatay Mayor Hasan Kılca provided detailed information to Governor İbrahim Akın and the accompanying delegation about the Trap-Skeet Shooting Range Facility, which was introduced to the city in 2022, within the Saraçoğlu Sports Complex.

Mayor Kılca, stating that the Trap-Skeet Shooting Range has become a favorite among athletes, emphasized that Karatay Municipality has always supported sports and athletes. He highlighted that with such investments, they have ensured better opportunities, particularly for young people and professional athletes.

Hasan Kılca said, "The Trap-Skeet Shooting Range Facility, which we have brought to our city within the Saraçoğlu Sports Complex, is an important center that contributes to the brand value of our city's sports sector. We trusted our athletes, provided them with excellent facilities and conditions, and they worked hard to achieve successes that added value to our city. With our modern sports facilities, free sports courses for young people, and the support we give to professional clubs, Karatay is rapidly advancing on the path to becoming the center of sports. At this point, we are hosting many national and international championships. In collaboration with our Governor's Office, Provincial Youth and Sports Directorate, and all public institutions and organizations, we are implementing many projects to bring our citizens closer to sports. With this collaboration, we will continue to strengthen the sports investments in our city."
