Karatay Builds Major Sports Center

The construction of the Karatay Sports Center, the largest investment in the history of Karatay Municipality, is progressing at full speed. With this project, which will bring a new attraction to the district, young people will have easier access to sports facilities.

In Karaaslan Neighborhood, the foundation of the Karatay Sports Center was laid in July 2023. Covering a construction area of approximately 26,000 square meters, the center will include a 1,000-square-meter semi-Olympic swimming pool, an artificial turf field suitable for professional matches, a 1,161-square-meter indoor sports hall with spectator stands, an archery hall, modern facilities for indoor sports, administrative offices, athlete and coach rooms, meeting halls, a table tennis area, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as many other sports facilities.

In addition, the facility will feature an 8,584-square-meter outdoor football field built to FIFA standards, providing a suitable venue for both professional matches and training sessions for amateur athletes.

On the other hand, thanks to the 400 kW solar power plant installed on its roof, the Karatay Sports Center will generate its own energy and achieve significant savings, making it an environmentally friendly sports complex.
