Karatay’s Athlete Becomes Europe’s Runner-Up

Tahir Efe Şahin, a successful table tennis player from Karatay Belediyespor, achieved great success by becoming the runner-up in Europe at the U23 European Para Youth Games (EPYG) held in Istanbul.

With his outstanding performance at the event held between July 21 and 28, 2025, Tahir Efe Şahin drew great attention and made both Karatay and all of Turkey proud.

In addition to Tahir Efe Şahin’s remarkable achievement, Karatay Belediyespor Table Tennis Coach Muhammed Huzeyfe Kılınç was also invited to join the national team and had his first experience as a national coach at the same tournament.

Hasan Kılca, Mayor of Karatay Municipality, congratulated Tahir Efe Şahin, the Karatay Belediyespor athlete who became the runner-up in Europe at the U23 European Para Youth Games (EPYG) held in Istanbul, as well as Muhammed Huzeyfe Kılınç, who had his first coaching experience wearing the national team jersey at the same event.
