The first step has been taken to make Beyşehir district of Konya, which hosts Turkey's largest freshwater lake, the center of water sports.
A contract has been signed for the preliminary feasibility
project of the water sports center within the scope of eco-tourism, prepared by
the Beyşehir Culture and Tourism Association in collaboration with the Mevlana
Development Agency (MEVKA), under the code TR52/23/TD0021.
Mustafa Büyükkafalı, the President of the Beyşehir Culture
and Tourism Association, made a statement after the signing of the agreements
during a program held in Konya. He mentioned that with the implementation of
the project, they will initiate efforts for water sports for the first time in
Konya under the framework of eco-tourism. He stated, "We have taken the
first step towards establishing an educational center for sailing sports,
particularly on Beyşehir Lake. Hopefully, there will be more to come. I thank
MEVKA for their support in this regard. Let it be auspicious for our
region."
