Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor Wins Eight Medals at Turkish Judo Championship

Young judokas from Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor delivered an outstanding performance at the 15 July Super Minors Turkish Judo Championship, returning home with a total of eight medals.


Held in Tokat from July 23 to 25, the championship brought together approximately 1,300 athletes from 72 provinces across Türkiye.


Over the course of the three-day competition, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor’s young judokas showcased their talent and determination, securing a total of eight medals.


On the opening day, Ayşe Naz Sare Karakoca was crowned Turkish champion in the 22 kg category. Bronze medals were also won by Sena Uysal (25 kg), Şebnem İnce Su (28 kg), Hurşit Alperen Demirdöğen (24 kg), and Ebubekir Boduroğlu (30 kg), all of whom finished third in their respective weight classes.


On the second day of competition, Hasan Efe Şekerci claimed a bronze medal after placing third in the 50 kg category.


The team’s success continued on the final day as Ahmet Eren Pala captured the Turkish championship title and a gold medal in the 55 kg category. M. Bekir Altuntaş also earned a bronze medal by finishing third in the over 60 kg category.


With these results, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor continued its rise in Turkish judo, concluding the championship in Tokat with two gold medals and six bronze medals, for a total of eight medals.
