Ramazan Yılmaz, a successful athlete of the Konya Metropolitan
Municipality Sports Club Cycling Team, made Konya proud by winning first place
in two different stages of road races held in Austria. Konya Metropolitan
Municipality Sports Club Cycling Team continues its achievements both
domestically and internationally.
Ramazan Yılmaz, the successful athlete of the Konya Metropolitan
Municipality Sports Club Cycling Team, received applause for the victories he
achieved in races held in Austria. After participating in a two-week Slovenia
camp with the national team, Ramazan Yılmaz, the successful athlete of Konya
Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, reached the top of the podium in two
consecutive road races held in Austria's Wels and Walding.
The athlete who won the 87-kilometer race held over 22 laps
on a 3.7-kilometer track in Wels with a sprint finish, also took the lead by 40
seconds from his competitors with an attack he made on the hill in the
105-kilometer 61st Raiffeisen Kirshblüten road race held in Walding. Yılmaz,
who left his other competitors behind once again in the sprint, achieved his second
consecutive victory with a time of 2 hours 43 minutes and 57 seconds.
The successful athlete, with the performance he demonstrated
in the races held before the European and World Track Championships, received
full marks from cycling authorities.
After achieving success upon success in Austria, Ramazan
Yılmaz went to Athens and will compete with other Konya Metropolitan
Municipality Sports Club athletes Mustafa Tarakçı and Ali Küçük on April 28-29
in the Athens Track Grand Prix track races as part of the Young National Team.
