Konya Hosts Goalball Youth National Team Camp

Under the hosting of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the "Goalball National Teams for Young Women and Men" prepared in Konya for the 2025 European Para Youth Games Goalball Championship.

Before the 2025 European Para Youth Games Goalball Championship, which will be held in Istanbul between July 21 and 28, a training camp was organized in Konya with the participation of the young women’s and men’s national team athletes and technical staff.

U19 and Young Men’s National Team coach Metin Ayhan stated that they aim to return from the tournament as champions, saying: “We organized our camp with the great support of Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the coordination of our federation. We have been here for 15 days and made the best use of all the facilities provided through the municipality’s sponsorship. Our athletes are in high spirits, and our goal is the championship.”

The athletes emphasized that the training sessions went very well, stating that their goal is to win the championship, and they thanked everyone who contributed.

On the last day of the camp, the athletes visited the Tropical Butterfly Garden and Sille.

Following the camp in Konya, the Turkish Blind Sports Federation’s Young Men’s and Women’s Goalball Teams will represent our country at the European Championship, which will begin on July 21 in Istanbul.
