At the Spor Toto U23 Türkiye Judo Championship hosted by Konya, the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club Judo Team left its mark on the tournament. In the championship, which featured intense competition, Metropolitan judokas won a total of 6 medals—2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze—finishing the tournament in second place overall.
The Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club Judo Team achieved second place as a team with 6 medals at the Spor Toto U23 Türkiye Judo Championship held in Konya.
Included in the Turkish Judo Federation’s 2026 activity program and serving as a reference event for international competitions, the Spor Toto U23 Türkiye Judo Championship took place on January 27–28, 2026, at the Karatay Congress and Sports Hall in Konya. A total of 895 athletes—452 men and 443 women—competed on the tatami in this major organization. Hosting many prominent athletes, the championship was held on six mats for the first time in the history of Turkish judo.
In this major event, the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club competed with 10 athletes. The yellow-and-black judokas won a total of 6 medals—2 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze—finishing the championship as Türkiye’s second-best team. One of the proudest moments of the organization occurred in the women’s 40 kg final, where two athletes from the Metropolitan team faced each other. Havva Sena Tokmak and Vuslat Başak both advanced to the final by defeating all their opponents, becoming a source of pride for the club.
