Konya Prepares for UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup

Preparations continue for the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup to be held at the Konya Olympic Velodrome.

Konya will host the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup, one of the world's most prestigious track cycling events, for the first time in Turkey from March 14 to 16.

The Konya Olympic Velodrome, one of Europe's most comprehensive velodromes, will host sports enthusiasts with its 250-meter track and a seating capacity of 2,329 within a 17,600-square-meter area.

More than 450 athletes from over 40 countries will compete in the men's and women's categories during the three-day event in the city.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that Konya has always hosted significant events.

Emphasizing their intensive preparations for hosting the UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup, Altay said, "We are planning an event that befits Konya. Konya is both a cycling and a sports event city. This organization will contribute to making cycling more prominent in our city and country, bringing greater attention to the sport."
