Konya Secures Dramatic Win to Clinch Playoff Spot

Week 32 of the Turkish Basketball League delivered a series of highly competitive matchups, with one of the most thrilling games taking place in Konya.

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor hosted Pizzabulls Cedi Osman Basketball and claimed a narrow 83–81 victory in a game that carried significant weight for the playoff race. The yellow-and-blacks sealed the win in dramatic fashion with a last-second basket.

The home side responded quickly after Alp Karahan ended the visitors’ 8–0 run, regaining control and finishing the first quarter ahead 23–17. Their strong momentum continued into the second quarter, where they pushed the lead into double digits and went into halftime with a 50–40 advantage.

Although the visitors fought back in the third quarter and reduced the gap, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor maintained their edge, entering the final period with a 68–62 lead.

The excitement reached its peak in the closing moments. In a tightly contested final quarter filled with back-and-forth scoring, Enes Bayraktar delivered the game-winning basket with just one second remaining, securing a crucial win for the home team.

With this result, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor recorded its 22nd victory of the season, moving up to 54 points. Following Yalovaspor Basketball’s withdrawal from the league in Week 33, which grants Konya a forfeit win, the team has officially secured its place in the playoffs.
