Konya Team Tops the Podium at National Road Race

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, which adds great value to Turkish sports through its strong support for sports and athletes, continues to make a name for itself in the cycling discipline.

The Turkey Road Championship, included in the 2025 activity program of the Turkish Cycling Federation, was held in Isparta.

The races, which were full of great excitement, saw the athletes from Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club receive applause for their impressive performances.

Over the three-day competition, the cyclists from Büyükşehir Belediyespor achieved a significant success by winning a total of 10 medals: 4 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze. With this result, the yellow and black team became champions in the Elite Overall Team Classification and secured second place in the U-23 Overall Team Classification.

The rankings achieved by Büyükşehir in the races are as follows:

• In the Men’s Elite Time Trial; Burak Abay finished first, Ali İhsan Egin second.
• In the U-23 Time Trial, Ramazan Yılmaz took second place.
• In the U-19 Time Trial, Göktürk Yüzerler came in third.
• In the Men’s Elite Road Race, Samet Bulut finished first, Burak Abay second, and Muhammed Erkan third.
• In the U-19 Road Race, Göktürk Yüzerler took first place.
• In the U-23 Road Race, Ramazan Yılmaz finished first, Talha Tektaş third.
