Konya to Host Four-Day Bicycle Festival

 Konya Metropolitan Municipality continues to promote cycling culture in Konya, the European Cycling Capital 2026, by bringing residents together through a variety of events.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay announced that the city will host the Bicycle Festival at Kalehan Ecdat Garden from August 6 to 9 as part of its efforts to strengthen Konya’s identity as a cycling city.

Mayor Altay said the festival will offer enjoyable and educational activities for visitors of all ages. “As Europe’s Cycling Capital 2026, Konya will celebrate the excitement of the Bicycle Festival from August 6 to 9. We have prepared a festival where residents of all ages can enjoy workshops for children, cycling experience zones, acrobatic performances, water-screen shows, and drone displays. I invite all our fellow citizens to join us for this exciting event at Ecdat Garden,” he said.

Colorful Activities Await at the Bicycle Festival

Organized by Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the Bicycle Festival will feature children’s workshops, cycling experience zones, stage performances, cycling courses, digital experience areas, acrobatic shows, bicycle-themed installations, and social responsibility activities.

Open daily from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. over four days, the festival will offer 15 digital workshops, 35 different workshop activities, and 17 bicycle installations with unique concepts for visitors to explore.

Drone performances, water-screen video mapping, and bicycle-themed video mapping shows will also add to the festival atmosphere.
