Konya’s Athlete Becomes European Champion

Ecem Baysuğ, the national judoka of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, made Konya proud by becoming the European Champion.

Another major achievement from Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, which continues to contribute to Turkish sports.

At the European Junior Judo Championship held in Bratislava, Slovakia, Ecem Baysuğ of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club achieved a historic success.

In the tournament where 364 judokas from 43 countries competed, Baysuğ took to the tatami in the women’s -70 kg category, defeating all her opponents. In the final, she overcame Switzerland’s April Lynn Fohouo, bringing the Junior European Champion title to our country.
