Konya Metropolitan Municipality Judo Team achieved significant success at the Turkish Youth Judo Championship held in Ankara. Competing with 17 athletes in a tournament featuring over 700 participants from 52 provinces, Konya's athletes won a total of seven medals, including three gold, two silver, and two bronze.
The Turkish Youth Judo Championship was held in Ankara on February 22-23.
A total of 704 young athletes, including 318 men and 386 women from 52 provinces, competed for medals at the championship, organized at the Turkish Judo Federation's sports facilities in Ankara. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club once again showcased its success in judo at the tournament, which was dedicated to former national athlete Adnan Özmen.
Competing with 17 athletes in the two-day tournament filled with intense matches, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club achieved remarkable success by winning a total of seven medals—three gold, two silver, and two bronze.
In the tournament, Elif Agar (57 kg), Abdullah Turgutlu (73 kg), and Sinem Oruç (63 kg) won gold medals. Yusuf Can Uzun (60 kg) and Kevser Dilbirligi (78 kg) secured silver medals, while Şeyma Yıldırım (52 kg) and Mehmet Kısa (100 kg) earned bronze.
