Konya’s Basketball Team Claims 15th League Victory

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor faced Fenerbahçe College Rams away from home in the 17th week of the Turkey Insurance Basketball League.

The home side made a fast start to the game played at Fenerbahçe Metro Energy Hall. Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor trailed 21–19 at the end of the first quarter but recovered in the second quarter to go into the locker room leading 39–38.

Losing its rhythm in the third quarter, our side entered the final period trailing 73–65. With tough defense and a high level of concentration in the final quarter, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor staged a remarkable comeback and secured a 98–94 victory in the crucial contest.

Claiming victory in their first game of the second half of the season, the yellow-and-blacks earned their 15th win in the league, raising their total to 33 points and moving up to second place.
