Konya's Basketball Team in the Semifinals

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor defeated iLab Basketball 85-64 in the second match of the Turkey Basketball League playoff quarterfinal series, taking a 2-0 lead in the series and securing a spot in the semifinals.

Competing in the Turkey Basketball League, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor is making steady progress on its path to the Super League.

Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, winning the first match of the 2024-2025 İlkan Karaman Season playoffs quarterfinal series of the Turkey  Basketball League 79-76 away, played the second match of the series yesterday at Selcuklu Municipality Sports Hall in front of its fans.

The visiting team started the game strong and finished the first quarter leading 21-16. In the second quarter, Büyükşehir Belediyespor took control of the game and went into halftime with a 46-35 lead.

With strong support from the stands in the third quarter, the Konya team widened the gap and brought the score to 65-49 heading into the final period. Maintaining their dominance in the last quarter as well, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor won the game 85-64 with a 21-point margin and advanced to the semifinals.

In the match held at Selcuklu Municipality Sports Hall, the 4,200-seat stands were completely full, with basketball fans from Konya giving strong support to their team. With every successful shot, the crowd’s excitement grew, making the fans one of the key contributors to the resounding victory.
