Konya Metropolitan Municipality Cycling Team achieved
success in the races held in Alanya, winning awards and making Konya proud. On
the first day, the Metropolitan cyclists won a silver medal, and on the second
day of the race, they celebrated their championship victory.
Despite being established only a year ago, Konya
Metropolitan Municipality Cycling Team continues to add new successes to its
already impressive record.
On March 25-26, the Continental Team representing Konya
professionally at the International Kleopatra Criterium and the UCI 1.2 Grand
Prix Syedra Ancient City races in Alanya won 1 gold and 1 silver medal on the
first and second days, respectively, and returned to the city with pride.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club's Yunus Emre
Yılmaz, who competed in the Elite Men's category at the International Kleopatra
Criterium Races, won a silver medal in the challenging 40-kilometer race.
Competing in a tough medal race with significant opponents in his category,
Yılmaz received high praise from cycling authorities at the end of the race.
Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club's Samet Bulut,
who competed in the challenging 150-kilometer stage of the UCI 1.2 Grand Prix
Syedra Ancient City races, achieved great success. The young rider, who
completed the race in first place in the U23 category, took Konya's name to the
top as the champion. Samet Bulut, who received admiration for his successful
performance, was selected as the 'best U23 athlete' of the competition.
