Konya’s Judoka Becomes European Champion

Sinem Oruç, competing for the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club judo team, won the championship at the Junior European Cup.

Competing at the Junior European Cup held in Skopje, North Macedonia, Sinem Oruç of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club added another achievement to her growing list of successes.

Oruç represented Türkiye in the 63 kg category wearing the national jersey. Defeating all her opponents, she claimed the gold medal and became the champion.

Sinem Oruç’s performance on the first day of the championship drew significant attention. The young judoka displayed exceptional skill in all her matches, leaving the tatami undefeated.

In the final, the athlete from the Metropolitan Municipality made her country proud once again by defeating her Slovak opponent Lenka Tomankova to claim the gold medal.
