Konya's Para Karate Athlete Secures Second Place in Turkey

Muhammet Taha Baskın, a 16-year-old born with hearing impairment living in Konya, won the silver medal as the second-place finisher in the Deaflympics Turkey Championship.



Muhammet Taha Baskın, a 16-year-old born with hearing impairment living in Konya, won the silver medal as the second-place finisher in the Deaf Senior Kata Championships, where he competed for the first time. Among his competitors were Olympic and European champions, and he defeated the European champion to claim the title.



Muhammet Taha Baskın, who has been deaf since birth, started practicing karate when he was 13 years old.



Muhammet Taha, who expressed that he is still at the beginning of his journey, said that his ultimate goal is to represent Turkey at the Olympics and win a gold medal.
