The launch of the SOBE Autism Sports Games, organized for the first time in Turkey to promote the active participation of individuals with autism in society through sports and raise awareness, was held.
The launch of the SOBE Autism Sports Games, held for the first time this year, was organized under the hosting of the SOBE Foundation, in collaboration with the Turkish Special Athletes Sports Federation, Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Selçuklu Municipality, and the Konya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.
This program provides individuals with autism the opportunity to express themselves in a sports environment tailored to their needs, while also contributing to the increase in societal awareness.
Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, who spoke highly of SOBE's efforts, said, "382 of our individuals are participating in educational and rehabilitation activities here. Our wish is for them to be included in social life. We will continue our work in the coming period. I would also like to express my gratitude to Konya Metropolitan Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay for entrusting us with this important responsibility. I thank everyone who has brought SOBE to where it is today. The process will be different in the SOBE sports environment."
