Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor, a key contributor to Turkish sports, continues to achieve notable success in basketball, volleyball, and judo.
Competing in the Turkish Basketball League, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor faced Final Spor in Week 13 on the road in Bursa.
The game, held at Tofaş Sports Hall, saw Konya finish the first quarter ahead 27–22. In the second quarter, the home side fought hard to get back into the game, sending both teams to the locker room level at 43–43.
Konya outscored their opponents in the third quarter, entering the final period with a 65–58 lead. Maintaining their strong performance in the last quarter, the Konya team secured an 83–72 victory.
Continuing its steady climb toward the top, Konya claimed its third consecutive away win and held on to third place in the standings.
Competing in Group 4 of the Turkish Volleyball Federation Men’s 2nd League, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor visited Ürgüp Gençlik Spor in Nevşehir for their Week 8 match.
Played at Ürgüp Sports Hall, the yellow-black team secured a clean 3–0 victory with set scores of 12–25, 17–25, and 23–25. With their seventh win of the season, Konya increased their points tally to 19 and maintained their position in second place.
The 2025–2026 School Sports Judo Youth (Girls–Boys) Group Competitions, held in Nevşehir, brought together participants from 15 cities.
At the event hosted in Damat İbrahim Paşa Sports Hall, Konya Büyükşehir Belediyespor judokas delivered a dominant performance, surpassing all their opponents.
All four athletes representing Konya completed their matches with gold medals, securing the city’s place in the finals. The athletes and their categories are as follows: Havva Sena Tokmak in 40 kg, Selin Beştav in 63 kg, M. Ali Aydoğdu in 90 kg, and M. Hamza Aydilek in +90 kg.
As part of its “2025 Family Year” activities, Konya Metropolitan Municipality brought sports-loving families together through a Laser Orienteering event.
Held at Meram Tavusbaba Hill, the event welcomed nearly 200 families. Designed to strengthen family bonds, the activity saw parents and children team up to complete a designated course in the fastest time possible. Surrounded by nature, the competition created a lively and colorful atmosphere.
