Major Success from Konya at Paris 2024!

National para powerlifter Sibel Çam from Meram Belediyespor won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.


Turkey, experiencing its best Paralympic Games in history and breaking a medal record, received another medal from weightlifter Sibel Çam of Meram Belediyespor.


Following Besra Duman's silver medal win in the 55 kg weightlifting category at the Paris Paralympic Games a few days ago, Sibel Çam from Meram Belediyespor, proudly wearing the national jersey, brought another great pride to Turkey and Konya by securing a bronze medal in the 73 kg category.


Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş made a statement on his social media account regarding the matter, saying, "Another medal from Sibel at Paris 2024! Our national para powerlifting athlete from Meram Belediyespor, Sibel Çam, has made our city and country proud by winning a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Following the silver medal won by our Meram Belediyespor athlete Besra Duman a few days ago, Sibel Çam also brought us great honor by securing a medal at the Olympics. Thank you, Sibel, and thank you, Besra!"
