Meram Municipality Welcomes Paralympic Champions

The para weightlifting athletes Besra Duman and Sibel Çam from Meram Belediyespor, who successfully represented Turkey at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and returned to Konya with medals, visited the Meram Municipality.

The athletes were welcomed by Meram District Governor Dr. Bayram Yılmaz and Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş.

Besra Duman, who won a silver medal, and Sibel Çam, who secured a bronze medal, expressed their gratitude to Meram Mayor Mustafa Kavuş, stating that they were thrilled to return from the Paris Paralympic Games with medals as a reflection of the support they received.

The athletes stated that with the trust placed in them, they are aiming for a gold medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games, expressing their desire to bring pride to Meram, Konya, and their country.
