Selçuklu Invests in Future Olympians with New Center

Selçuklu Municipality is bringing Turkey's first green-certified Athlete Selection and Training Center to Konya.



Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyatırmacı inspected the construction of the Athlete Selection and Training Center, one of Selçuklu Municipality's largest investments, which is being built with the goal of training athletes for the Olympics.



Mayor Pekyatırmacı said, "We are happy to be bringing one of Turkey's most comprehensive sports facilities to Konya."



The construction of the center, which will provide a crucial infrastructure resource for the sports community and pave the way for success in the Olympics, is continuing without interruption.



The Athlete Selection and Training Center, which has a building area of 23,514 square meters and an open field area of 15,630 square meters, will include 2 swimming pools, a sports hall, gyms for karate, judo, gymnastics, table tennis, wrestling, chess, taekwondo, wushu, kickboxing, and archery, a fitness room, a football field, a sports museum, a sports store, a seminar hall, a VIP room, a cafeteria, and other necessary facilities.
