Sibel Çam Brings European Gold to Meram Belediyespor

Another piece of good news has come from the European Weightlifting Championship held in Georgia for Meram Belediyespor. Sibel Çam, Meram Belediyespor’s national weightlifter, achieved top results in the 67-kilogram category, claiming the European Championship title.

Another piece of good news has arrived for Meram Belediyespor from the European Weightlifting Championship held in Georgia, following Besra Duman’s success.

Sibel Çam, Meram Belediyespor’s national weightlifter, claimed the European Championship title in the 67-kilogram category with her outstanding results. Delivering a strong performance at the championship, Çam achieved a remarkable lift of 114 kilograms. With a total of 336 kilograms lifted, she secured two gold medals, reaching the top of Europe. At the same event in Georgia, another Meram Belediyespor national athlete, Besra Duman, also achieved significant success, finishing the European Championship with one gold and one bronze medal, bringing pride to Turkey.

Speaking after the championship, national athlete Sibel Çam expressed her great happiness over her achievement, saying, “I am very pleased to have achieved such an important success at the European Championship. We have been training intensively for a long time to represent my country and my club in the best possible way. I would like to thank our Meram Mayor, Mr. Mustafa Kavuş, the Meram Belediyespor administrators, our coaches, and everyone who contributed to this process for their constant support. God willing, I will continue to bring new successes to our country in the future.”
