Sinem Oruç Returns from Moldova with a Medal

Sinem Oruç, an athlete of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club’s Judo Team, has added another achievement to her list of international successes.


At the U23 European Judo Championship held in Chișinău, Moldova, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club’s talented judoka Sinem Oruç represented Türkiye as part of the national team.


The national judoka made a strong start to the tournament, defeating Moldova’s Maria Rusu in the first round and Germany’s Shenna Nitsche by ippon in the second round to advance to the quarterfinals.


Oruç advanced to the semifinals after defeating her Croatian opponent Nina Cvjetko in the quarterfinals. Following her semifinal match against Finland’s Louna-Lumia Seikkula, she competed for the bronze medal.


Sinem Oruç defeated her national teammate Özlem Yıldız and finished the championship in third place, earning a bronze medal.


With this achievement, Sinem earned the distinction of winning medals at European and World Championships for four consecutive years. Her remarkable performance brought pride to both Türkiye and Konya Metropolitan Municipality Sports Club, marking another milestone in her career.
